GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, October 1, 2019 – Every year on October 1st, the world comes together in a global celebration to share their passion for coffee.
This International Coffee Day we are shining a spotlight on the hard work of the millions of smallholder coffee farmers around the world – who depend on coffee as their main source of income.
Shot in the setting of Rwacof’s Musasa coffee washing station and factory – Sucafina’s subsidiary in Rwanda, we invite you to watch 'An Anthem for International Coffee Day' and listen to the sounds of coffee to see what it takes to create the beans that go into the 3 billion cups enjoyed every day.

In its continuous effort to protect farmers from the impact of volatile prices, Sucafina announced earlier this year US$5 million in seed funding and working capital over the next 3 years to invest in its new “Farmer Hub” initiative – alternative projects on agency banking, grain and banana production, as well as circular economy models for supplying goods and services to farmers living in proximity to the Group’s assets in East Africa.
